Doctrine and Beliefs

All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, … (2 Timothy 3:16)
I hold the first five articles of the Baptist Faith and Message (1963) as a foundational doctrinal statement.

Testimony
I was born in Cusco, Peru, and raised in a Christian home. At the age of seven, the Lord graciously opened my eyes to the truth of the gospel, and I came to faith in Christ.
Beginning at age 18, God gave me the privilege of participating in numerous mission trips across Peru, often serving as a translator while I pursued my studies in business administration. Through these experiences, I had the opportunity to witness the life of the Church in diverse regions: the coast, the highlands, and the jungle. Time and again, I observed a pressing need—the lack of solid theological training in many small, rural churches. This burden grew in my heart, and I felt called to address it in some way, so I began preparing myself for that purpose.
From 2015 to 2019, the Lord opened doors for me to study theology in the United States at Beeson Divinity School, where I earned a Master of Theological Studies degree. Then, from 2020 to 2023, I continued my training at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky, completing a Master of Divinity. In 2023 and 2024, I lived in Israel, immersing myself in the study of Hebrew. In 2023, I also began a doctorate in missions and evangelism at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.
However, on October 7, 2023, the war broke out in Israel, dramatically altering my plans. Though I had hoped to remain longer, after a season of prayer and reflection, I returned to Peru in 2025.
Upon my return, I launched a pastoral apprenticeship program designed specifically for churches with limited theological training and financial resources. My heart's desire is to equip leaders and help establish healthy, gospel-centered churches that can effectively reach and disciple their local communities.
The program I now lead consists of three progressive stages:
Stage 1 focuses on the epistles to the Romans and Ephesians. Trainees learn how to prepare and deliver sermons while gaining a deep understanding of the gospel's foundations and what it means to live a new life in Christ.
Stage 2 expands to preaching from various biblical genres and includes thoughtful debates on key theological perspectives, sharpening discernment and conviction.
Stage 3 covers practical church administration, preparing leaders to shepherd congregations effectively.

I am grateful for God's faithfulness in guiding my path—from a young believer in Cusco to serving back home—and I continue to trust Him to use this work for His glory in Peru.
